Founded by Joseph Landin over 16 years ago, Sanctuary Recovery Centers started off with one home. His home. It has since grown into more than 10 facilities. The Sanctuary Story is one of hope. Joe started the organization after his own journey from homelessness and addiction.
People know Joe. A circle of influential recovery specialists formed in the early stages of developing this Phoenix-based treatment center. It’s the people that matter. Joe has always shown a commitment to being a community leader and organizer – putting people together, regardless of their business or affiliation, in order to serve the main mission of True Healing and Continued Care.
From homelessness to housing people on their journey to sobriety, that’s The Sanctuary Story. We’ve all been there. Maybe we don’t all have a harrowing story like the founder, but everyone has a story. Their story. The people we serve have similar paths. And the first-hand knowledge gained by the founder empowers Sanctuary staff to serve with expertise and compassion. We’ve been there. And we’ve overcome. Together.
Pre-2005
Our founder had just now established his footing on the other side of homelessness and addiction. The die was cast, and Joe’s mission was to save the lives of others, the way his friends had saved his.
2006-2019
Sanctuary Sober Living homes began to form in prime residential locations around the Phoenix Metro area.
2020-Present
Sanctuary opens the area’s most unique and inspirational IOP facility and adds treatment centers routinely, serving those struggling with addiction and mental health challenges.
